Dutch Gable House is a two-storey historic building in central Greenock, and it is available to us now — not in three years. There is a connected building and a yard beside it that we intend to make habitable over the next three years: good enough to receive delegations, host guests, and give visitors a reason to come to Greenock.Dutch Gable House — двоповерхова історична будівля в центрі Ґрінока, і вона доступна нам уже зараз, а не за три роки. A music class, an art and craft class, a choir, a library with a café shift, a dance group, an office, and a garden. Some of that is running today, some is waiting on a grant, and the pages for each say plainly which. By the end of 2026 the music class, the art class, the choir and the library should all be working in this building.Музичні заняття, заняття мистецтвом і ремеслами, хор, бібліотека з кавовою зміною, танцювальний гурт, офіс і сад. Why a building mattersЧому будівля має значення
A community without an address meets wherever it can and disperses when the room is booked. A community with a door has opening hours, a shelf for its books, somewhere to leave the chairs, and a place people can be told to go. That is the difference the house makes, and it is why so much of the Club’s effort goes into it.Громада без адреси збирається, де вийде, і розходиться, коли зала зайнята.
